Getting around the law without breaking it is called "the game".
And as previously said, don't hate the player... hate the game...

Gayjin wrote:I was told it's best to have a business address in an office building. Apparently the authorities scoff at the idea that you can code in your pajamas. It's the same in the US, by the way - if you're just starting a business you can run it out of your bathroom, but if immigration is involved you need a business lease. Go figure.
you want more than a serviced office can provide. So you are looking for someone who owns a commercial building in the Tokyo region. You never know, someone here may be in that situation, but it is pretty unlikely. It sounds like you should follow up with real estate agents as your most likely bet.Gayjin wrote:I am looking for someone who has space that I will be able to actually use when I hire more employees.

The people we're going to employ will initially be telecommuting, but for immigration reasons the Japanese emperor still requires that we have an office address and at least the theoretical ability to have two people work in it.

Why Tokyo? If your employees will be telecommuting, office space in Saitama or Yokohama would be a lot less expensive.
