Playing with Fire

Postby Hugh Jørgen » Tue May 15, 2012 6:45 pm

The Men Baka Ichidai Ramen Shop in Kyoto creates this flaming tower ramen show by mixing 360℃ green onion oil with negi ramen. The flames appear to shoot a couple feet high. Looks like a disaster waiting to happen...

Won't be eating there, I can assure you.
I like ramen, but not enough to put my life on the line for it.

That is just about everything I find annoying with Ramen shops wrapped into one. Any excuse they can think of to charge 800+ yen for what should be a 350 yen dish.

What's with all the tiles falling off the wall in the background?
Lemurs (lē′·mər) are a clade of strepsirrhine primates endemic to the island of Japan. They are named after the lemures (ghosts or spirits) of Roman mythology due to the ghostly vocalizations, reflective eyes, and the nocturnal habits of some species.
